We all rise with

ganga

Her journey is ours —
let’s protect her sacred flow.

About Gangashoora

Gangashoora is a community-driven organization committed to uplifting lives through education, cultural initiatives, social reforms, and heritage preservation.
Our aim is to create a connected society where every individual is informed, empowered, and inspired to contribute to collective progress.

We believe in awareness, collaboration, compassion, and sustainable development.

Vision for Ma Ganga

Our vision is to create a citizen-led movement dedicated to restoring and protecting the sacred Ganga River, beginning from the Himalayan belt of Uttarakhand. We want people to feel emotionally connected to the river and inspired to take action for its cleanliness and long-term health.

We are building a powerful, people-led initiative that focuses on:

  • Clean-Up Drives That Inspire Action
Bringing communities, travellers, and volunteers together to clean and care for our river.
  • Simple Education With Big Impact
Teaching locals and tourists how small everyday choices can keep the Ganga clean
  • Awareness Campaigns That Spark Change
Promoting eco-friendly habits, responsible waste disposal, and mindful tourism.
  • Strong Partnerships for Long-Term Results
Collaborating with experts, NGOs, and local leaders to create long-term solutions.
  • Reviving a Culture of Respect for Nature
Inspiring everyone to value the river and adopt a greener way of living.

Our Promise

We combine action, awareness, and community spirit to protect Ma Ganga—one step, one hand, one heart at a time. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener future for our river and our planet.

Our Sacred Efforts

Restoring the purity of the Ganga in the heart of Uttarakhand

Ongoing River Clean-up Drives

We conduct regular clean-up drives along the Ganga, removing plastic waste and debris from riverbanks and ghats. These efforts are powered by local volunteers, youth, and partner communities united by a shared devotion to protect Ma Ganga.

River Restoration Campaigns

We have restored over 10 major ghats in Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag. Through campaigns like Plastic-Free Ghats and eco-volunteer programs, we’ve mobilized communities to reclaim and respect these sacred spaces.

Impact in Numbers

With over 50 tons of waste removed and 2,000+ volunteers engaged, our mission continues to grow. We’ve educated local villages, revived ghats, and built a grassroots movement for a cleaner, living Ganga.

"Joining Ganga Shoora has been a truly rewarding experience. It’s inspiring to see students take action through clean-up drives and nature camps. This isn’t just awareness—it’s empowerment in motion."
