Our mission is to launch a citizen-driven movement that directly tackles river pollution in the Himalayan belt of Uttarakhand, starting with hands-on cleaning and long-term awareness. We are committed to:
- Organizing riverbank clean-up drives in key areas across Uttarakhand Engaging people physically in cleaning activities to build connection and responsibility.
- Educating locals, tourists, and businesses on the importance of keeping the Ganga clean.

Our Calling for Ganga
The primary goal of Ganga Shoora is to restore the environmental and spiritual sanctity of the Ganga River and its tributaries in the hill regions of Uttarakhand within the next five years through structured, measurable, and scalable action plans.
Our Specific goals include:
- Clean the riverbanks and ghats at key points along the upper Ganga basin, including towns like Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Gangotri.
- Remove plastic and non-biodegradable waste through organized collection drives and proper waste disposal mechanisms.
- Conduct 100+ clean-up camps and eco-awareness programs, especially during peak tourist seasons and festive periods.
- Engage and train over 10,000 volunteers, including youth, professionals, and international eco-tourists.
- Educate 25,000+ locals, shopkeepers, and business owners about sustainable river practices and alternatives to plastic.
- Partner with schools, colleges, and spiritual institutions to launch long-term eco-awareness and action programs.
- Install river health monitoring tools and publish annual transparency reports on cleaning metrics and impact.
- Influence behavior change at the community level by encouraging cleaner pilgrimage practices and responsible tourism.
Ultimately, our goal is not just to clean a river—it is to build a legacy of environmental stewardship that future generations can sustain and be proud of.
